The 9th 4Wheel & Off Road's Ultimate adventure was a mud every day event, chalked full of the usual sleep deprivation, bug bites and break downs. Clifton Slay was bestowed with a new record of most vehicle damage with the least amount of mileage covered in Ultimate Adventure history. As a twist this was inclusive of two vehicles he was piloting at separate times. As a result Clifton spent most of the event being Fred Williams' co-driver and side kick. Creating their own brand of mayhem. During the event Clifton's CJ7 wore Pitbull tires' Maddog 38X18" meats. Which proved a very versatile tire, capable of functioning meritoriously during the rigors of UA's multi-terrain demands. XTREME 4X4 & 20" SPYDERLOCKS
Spike channel's Xtreme 4X4 presented it's latest project the S10 Truggy
adorned with Spyderlocks 20" bead lock wheels. Toted as one of the
shows most over-the-top and most popular builds. With final assembly
and attention to every detail making this a
hardcore performer a show stopper. The Spyderlocks being the best

RICK DERMO RACE REACTION
Spyder locks made their competition debut in the 2007 XRRA rock racing
opener at Moab, Utah. Quote from Rick Deremo Team #33, Xtreme
Motorsports "We used the new spyder locks at the first XRRA event in
Moab. These beadlocks are by far the best on the market. We hammered
them and they held up to our abuse. No other Wheel that we have ever
used held up like the Spyderlocks have. We slammed into some rocks hard
enough to jar my teeth, before when we did this we always either bent
or broke a wheel. Clifton and the crew at Poison Spyder customs, our
hats are off to you for building a wheel that can handle the abuse that
the XRRA dishes out".
SPYDERLOCK WHEELS DEBUT IN MOAB
Spydelocks innovative bead lock wheel had it's premier to
the off road community at this years Easter Jeep safari. The
Spyderlock
has many progressive attributes that make it the new front runner in
the rock sport world. The new bead lock could be seen cruising the
trails on our own machines to include the Ultimate adventure Unlimited,
Bombshell Betty and Suicide Sally. These three machines knocked
the
new shine off of the wheels by giving them plenty of rock rash and high
speed sand blast'n through the dunes. Spydelockr's own rock racer
along with Rick Deremo's Xtreme Motor sports team successfully crash
tested the bead lock wheels during the XRRA's rock race season opener.
Further proving the wheels rugged and versatile design.
MTV'S REAL WORLD AND SPYDERLOCK'S CLIFTON SLAY
The Colorado edition of MTV's real world is set to begin
shooting in early June at an undisclosed area in Denver. To match the
Colorado theme, MTV contacted Chuck Pennington and our own Clifton
Slay to help complete there set with some " native" input. After a two
week build headed by Chuck, and further inspirational style and steel
provided by Clifton. The project was complete and assured to
represent our off road community with true hard core vogue. We can't give out the
details of show, however keep a look out for something big and yellow
that has a small furry inhabitant that answers to the handle "Chucky".
ULTIMATE TEST FOR SPYDERLOCK PROTOTYPES
Petersen's
4 Wheel and Off Road's Ultimate adventure was the stage to test the
very first set of prototype Spyderlock Wheels. With Rick Pewe at the
helm of the 2006 Ultimate FJ, the virgin bead locks were sure to be
tested. These off road wheels were wrapped by another prototype,
BFGoodrich's first batch 39 inch Krawlers. In concert they propelled
Rick and his "Ultimate Ninja turtle" flawlessly through 2000 miles of
rock, sand and pavement. In fact, the wheel and tire
combo was never balanced before the trip yet easily ran at excessive
highway speeds with nary a vibration. After the adventure, the
Spyderlocks were washed and dusted off to be displayed under the UA FJ
at Las vegas's own SEMA show.
